Multi-Function Digital Controller Features

User Interface and Data Entry
Menu driven via LCD Display and Tactile Keypad with addressable Soft-Keys.

Software
The unique pre-emptive control software enables operational trends to be optimised from external sources e.g. weather-station data, via EEPROM.All software is specially developed for each application.

EEPROM
Controller contains embedded EEPROM chip, allowing the permanent, non-volatile storage of vital parameters, e.g. set-up information, pin codes, telephone numbers etc. Exchange of EEPROM enables controller to be used on different types of equipment.

Security
Software features coded access to different user levels, e.g. users have coded access to Setup and Run/Stop sections. Managers and technical staffe access to configuration and test sections of software.

Communications
Controller provides both RS232 and RS485 communications ports.Remote control via Modem.

Graphics Display
The display can be configured for pixel addressable graphics enabling graphs and images to be displayed. All data can be logged to Hard Disk and processed on Windows based desktop P.C. software.

Battery Backup
The system RAM is battery backed, enabling the system to recover from power failures without loss of data in critical applications.

Safety
Software monitoring ensures all equipment recovers in safe-state from power failures etc. and provides multi-level alarms on local and remote stations.

Lighting Systems
Microprocessor control of 'PAR' intensity incl. dimming, lamp raise and lower, diurnal variation, logging to database, custom designed aluminum electromechanical elements incorporating wiring and controls.

Temperature Control
Fully integrated system incorporating closed loop glycol based cooling, ambient monitoring, energy optimization via weatherstation controlling multispeed fans and modulation control systems maintaining S.P. temperatures at minimum air velocities < 0.3m/sec. ramping and other emulation functions fully programmable by user.

Benches and Flooring
Custom designed all stainless steel to provide optimal air flow uniformity and complete corrosion resistance.

Energy Management
Computer controlled energy optimization provides up to 40% energy cost savings compared with other available controlled environment systems.

Miscellaneous
All 'CER's' incorporate high level air filtration, easy service access, multiple configuration capability, high reflectivity interiors, precision platinum temperature and solid state humidity sensors, multi-channel microprocessor based controller, programmable multi-level alarm system and remote monitoring/control via modem.


Plant Growth Cabinet

Designed to provide the ultimate in user efficiency. All Stainless Steel construction. Large capacity requiring minimal floor space. All functions, including Remote Monitoring and Alarming are computer controlled. PAR levels to 1600 uMol cm2 sec-1 with multi-level dimming. Provides ideal conditions for a wide range of experiments at affordable cost.

HEPA filtration in conjunction with positive air pressurisation eliminates contamination of samples.
